Business owners have a great idea of where they want to get to, or why they started their business in the first place. What they do not have is a roadmap and plan on how to get there. I take those dreams and create the detailed plan and tasks to get there. It is in this infrastructure that the daily requirements of the business is met allowing more room for growth. Also allows for the business owner to spend more of their time in the activities they want to do, and not in the activities that they are not good at.

Our Process

Step 1 – Analysis

We look at the foundation of your business – your mission and core values. Is it aligned with the goals of your business? Any misalignment here and the best plans in the world will fail.

We then look at the 4 corners of your business, to understand how it is working, where are there inefficiencies, and where to remove “noise” that inhibits growth. Those blocks are:

  1. Business Development. What is the experience people go through to learn about you, trust you, engage with you, inquire about service/product and eventually part with their money. This is more than just “marketing” – it is a journey that people go through, and having this mapped out will let you convert more clients.
  2. Product/Service Deliver. How do you delight and exceed expectations for your paying clients. This is where the sausage is made, and how you keep customers, reduce returns and create repeat business.
  3. Business Operations. What are the systems and processes a business uses to operate every day. Items like, IT, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Development, etc. The back office needs of the business to ensure it operates at full capacity.
  4. People Management. Whether you have 1,000’s of employees or just one part time person – how you engage with, manage and mentor your people matters greatly. This includes the use of outsourced talent, contractors, and virtual help.

The end of this phase, the business owner gets a operational analysis assessment showing what is working well, what needs attention and how all the parts of the business are interacting.

Step 2 – The Action Plan

We create a simple plan that shows what can be done over the next 15-30-60-90 days to improve the business, this will include specific action tasks, responsibility matrix, and how much time should be allocated.

Business owners can take the action plan, and execute it themselves or go to Step 3

Step 3 – The Integration

Total COO will work with the business owner to bring the action plan to life. This is where Total COO shifts to GSD mode – Get Stuff (or another word) Done. Total COO will ensure that the tasks needed to move the business forward are getting done. Based on the Action Plan, will determine the cost and involvement of Total COO.
